Fishing is the only income for many poor people. Scientists say that we can’t exterminate all the fish – we just reduce them to a very low level – where fishermen don’t bother catching the few that remain. The remaining few then breed up again. That’s what they say……… Meanwhile environmental groups paint a gloomy picture, and why not? It keeps donations flowing in and we need them to remind us of the perils – even if they exaggerate these a bit.
