The Brisbane, Queensland suburb of Sunnybank is the where many of Australia’s Taiwanese population reside.
Brisbane has a tiny Chinatown area in the city.
Sydney is a bit different with a much larger Chinatown. Located in Haymarket between Central Railway and Town Hall railway stations.
The Chinese favored suburbs of Sydney are Strathfield and Burwood – both on the rail line west of the city.
Vietnamese are located much further west at Cabramatta – on the same rail line.
I don’t know if there is a ‘Taiwanese’ suburb, Chatswood, is an area favored by Asians. It’s on the North Shore rail line (north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge) and much more exclusive than the western suburbs.
A year ago, only a couple of Sydney Chinatown restaurants advertised themselves as Taiwanese-style.
