2002 was not a good year for China Airlines

Remnant of Vietnam R&R era in Taipei – near Taipower MRT 2002

Advertising billboard MRT2002

Some of the Taipei models are the best looking girls in the world, yet there seems to be a fascination with western blondes in advertising.

Advertising billboards in Taiwan are more  provocative than Australia.

It’s a form of entertainment – especially when one cannot understand Chinese characters – the advertising is therefore an art form rather than a repetitious message.

Another major reason why I enjoy the streets of Taipei.

This poster was common in 2003 but I could not figure out what the meaning was.  Phone camera’s  were not known to me in Australia at that time. I’m still guessing today that this is the message here.

Computers in Taipei are at least six months ahead of what is available  in Australia.   Price seems about 20% cheaper but this would depend upon current exchange rates.

Small items for computer use can be a tiny fraction of what is charged in Australia.

Service for Acer computers in Sydney is to be avoided.  (It’s contracted to another company). Whereas Acer service in Taipei has been fantastic, fast and very polite, plus at a better price.
